Hard Work, Pays Off
For years, I poured my heart and soul into getting better at Spanish, so that when I auditioned for Spanish commercials I would be able to enjoy the moment, instead of worrying about my Spanish. Let me tell you, I have had some embarrassing moments in those rooms because my Spanish was "not great". I always knew that fluency would open doors, and the effort wouldn’t go unnoticed. And because of that hard work, I recently booked a Spanish national commercial for Jack in the Box!
Progressing Towards My Goals
Leading up to this big moment, there was a week filled with anticipation. Just before landing the Jack in the Box spot, I had been up for a Spanish national AT&T commercial. I didn’t snag that one, but it didn’t deter my excitement. In fact, it fueled it even more! The audition experience was exhilarating, and the fact that I was even considered gave me a huge boost of confidence.
When I got the call about booking the Jack in the Box commercial, it felt like the culmination of all the studying, practicing pronunciation, and soaking up Spanish media. Estoy muy contento!
A Dual Language Journey
As if that wasn’t enough, just last week, I booked another spot but this time it was in English! I can’t share too much about it yet, but it's another step in my ongoing journey in this industry. Each experience, whether in English or Spanish, contributes to my growth as an actor.
Booking these commercials is just a piece of the puzzle, but I am thrilled by the direction my career is moving. My journey has taught me that hard work truly speaks volumes, and it’s vital to embrace every opportunity to improve.
For anyone who’s thinking about pursuing a similar path, I encourage you to take the plunge! Whether you’re learning a new language or diving into acting, the road may be challenging, but every effort is worth it. Keep pushing forward, and who knows, that dream gig might just be around the corner!
Here’s to new beginnings, more auditions, and the ongoing adventure in the world of commercials!
